Janet Taisey Craft, Director
Jenny Carlson & Adrienne Mincz, performers
A Collaboration between Ipswich Moving Company and photographer,
Terri Unger. The Opening of the Ipswich Art Show, Friday,
September 14, 2008 at 8:00 pm at the EBSCO Publishing Gallery.
This is the sixth year that Janet Taisey Cfraft and the Ipswich
Moving Company have presented dance performances for the Ipswich
Art Show. The performance has been revised and adapted for
the Ipswich Art Show's gallery setting. "Tales of a Tub"
was originally created and presented as part of the Ipswich
Moving Company's TALES OF A TUB concert that premiered in
March 2007 in Ipswich Moving Company Studio Theatre. Working
with projections, photographer, Terri Unger, creates photo
images that are integrated with the dance performance. The
interrelationships between the still photo images and the
dance movement create interesting relationships and generates
new meanings for both the dance and the photo images.

This Ipswich Moving Company premiere, conceptualized by director
Janet Taisey Craft and Jenny Carlson defies all things rational.
The Studio Theatre is transformed into a "live painting"
where the dancers' terrain is a piano, a huge wooden table,
a life-size picture frame suspended from the ceiling, and an
aerial rope sculpture. In this realm the dancers reunite the
unconscious world of dream and fantasy with the everyday rational
world. DREAMING HEAD is a collaboration, choreographed
and performed by Janet Taisey Craft, Jenny Carlson, Adrienne
Mincz, DeAnna Pellecchia, Chrissy Reynolds and Sativa Saposnek.
The audience is invited to an informal question and answer session
with the Company immediately following each performance.
